How much is it?

It’s free. Really! Forever!

How is it different to other sites?

Hunting For Vets makes recruitment easy and quick. Once you have created your online profile, we’ll add your details to our database. If you wish, you will be emailed with jobs that match you, but we also have a Job Page if you prefer to look for jobs in your own time.

If you see a job that you like the look of, then just press the APPLY button and your profile including your CV (if you uploaded one) will get sent directly to the recruiter. We think that’s fairly easy!

How will I know if the recruiter has received my application?

You will see a list of the jobs that you have applied for in your My Jobs section, once you log in. You can even shortlist jobs, and apply later.

How private is my information?

We take privacy seriously. Your CV is not publically visible, and is only sent directly to the businesses that you have applied to by way of email. Your public profile is visible, and you are free to put as little or as much as you wish on it.

Contact information, such as email and telephone numbers are all kept private. CVs are never, ever viewable on the website. For convenience, you can upload your CV onto your profile, so that whenever you apply for a job, your CV will automatically accompany your application email. Other site users will never be able to read or download your CV.

Who will see my contact information?

Very private. Your contact information is used by us at Hunting For Vets, and is sent directly to employers that you send your job application to. Nobody else will see your contact information, unless you wish to add it yourself to your public profile.

Help! I’m getting too many email notifications!

You can adjust your email notifications by clicking Notifications in the main menu on your login home page.

How much does it cost?

Registering and creating your profile on Huntingforvets.com is completely free and will always be free for all businesses and veterinary practices.

Our aim is to always be great value for money so if you wish to post your permanent or locum positions onto our Job Board the maximum price per job is £100 + VAT - however, there is no charge for charities or educational institutions.

If you visit our Pricing Page you will notice that you can save money if you buy several adverts in a bundle. There is no rush to use adverts purchased in your bundle, as there is no expiry date for their use.

You advert will stay on the Job Board for 28 days and to offer flexibility, there are no restrictions on advert length, content or how you want applicants to contact you.

We will give you a full refund if you are not completely satisfied. We do ask that requests must be made through our Contact Page or by email within 60 days of posting your advert.

Why should I register as a business or practice rather than a vet or nurse?

These are the exclusive features of a Business or Practice Account:

  • Add/edit your Business Profile
  • Post adverts for job vacancies
  • Send email notifications to candidates that match your job vacancy (this is done automatically)
  • See applicant’s CV, contact information and clinical experience (if supplied)
  • Promote an event or CPD meeting

These are the exclusive features of a Personal Account (Vet, Vet Nurse or Vet Student):

  • Have a Personal Profile
  • Apply for jobs directly through the website with one click
  • Save jobs you are interested in
  • Message/connect with other vets and vet nurses

Is Hunting For Vets really that different?

We think it is very different. We’re fast. Jobs are posted immediately, email notifications to suitable candidates are sent off within seconds, and a potential applicant can apply with just a couple of clicks and a swipe from their mobile. We think that’s fast.

Applicants’ online profiles gives you another perspective. The online profile has a Skills section which allows candidates to tell you how many times they have performed clinical skills like a cat spay. This could save you from interviewing unsuitable candidates.

Furthermore, Hunting for Vets is much more than just a recruitment site. We are connecting the veterinary world together. By having a profile on our site, you become connected to vets, nurses and other businesses throughout the veterinary industry. Individual users can message each other through the website, and form networks of helpful contacts. You can also send endorsements for work colleagues past and present.

Can i still see a traditional CV please?

In addition to their online profile, we ask our users to upload a CV onto their profile page

How do I contact the potential recruits?

You will receive their contact details (e.g. telephone number, email address) and so you can contact them however you wish. There are no restrictions. Their CV will be privately emailed to you.

What if I am not 100% happy?

You get a 100% refund if you are not completely satisfied. Just give us a shout through our contacts page and we will send you a full cash refund.

Am I ever eligible for a refund?

We will give you a full refund if you are not completely satisfied. We do ask that requests must be made through our Contact Page or by email within 60 days of posting your advert.
