Job Description

Assistant Veterinary Surgeon - Horncastle, Lincolnshire

Medivet have a exciting opportunity for an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our well-established practice in the rural market town of Horncastle.

This is an excellent opportunity suited to someone eager to work in an experienced multi-vet practice, here you will be provided with the support need while developing your skills - professional development will be encouraged!

We are seeking a passionate and motivated vet who works to a high standard of practice alongside excellent customer service. While Horncastle is a valuable training practice it would equally be well suited to a vet who is keen to work towards a certificate. The successful candidate will have at least 6 months UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience.

About the practice;

Medivet Horncastle is a busy practice with a lovely loyal client base. It is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, separate cat and dog wards, in-house laboratory and access to ECG. As part of your role at Horncastle you will also have access to facilities at our purpose built Main Centre at Medivet Quarrington which includes a multidisciplinary team of certificate holders.

Join our friendly enthusiastic team made up of six devoted Nurses, as well as working alongside the practices knowledgeable and highly experienced Branch Partner and two other supportive Vets.

Salary and benefits:

• Package up to £65k depending on experience, including:
• Accommodation or £6,600 accommodation allowance
• Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
• Generous CPD allowance with 3 days' CPD leave per annum
• 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays

The role is full time working four days per week and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
