Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join two of our practices in the Wokingham region. This is the centre of a group of practices that have a wide range of certificate holding veterinary surgeons including orthopaedics, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, exotics and feline medicine.

What we are looking for:

You will be an RCVS registered vet with 2-3 years' experience with balanced interest in surgical and medical cases able to develop the first opinion side of the practice and develop their skills with the assistance of the lead vets.

Most importantly you will know how to look after your clients and their pets. Client and Patient care are our top two priorities, so you must be a great communicator.

You will be working with a fantastic team including an extremely supportive Branch Partner who is very keen to help develop and mentor a new team member.

You will be working a 4 day week with 1 in 6 weekends or 1 in 3 Weekend days.

A fair share of the 2nd on-call (usually 2-3 weeks a year) very rarely called on due to dedicated night vets

A fair share of Bank Holidays between all the vets in the region, usually means that each vet covers approx. 2 Bank Holidays a year with time off provided in lieu
